Marc Soper's Beetroot salt and pepper Organic Tofu - Part 2/3

Ingredients

2 Packets Bean Supreme Organic Tofu

150g Food By Chefs Beetroot Relish, blended till smooth with 60ml water. Pass through a fine sieve

1 Cup salt and pepper corn flour mix

Salt to finish

Instructions

  1. Remove tofu from the pack and dry. With a peeler first peel 3 slices with a potato peeler from each of the long sides of tofu.
  2. Cut the rest of the tofu in half to open out as 2 large sheets. With 2 cutters cut rounds out and then cut smaller rounds from the centre.
  3. Place both into the beetroot juice or blended beetroot. Leave there for 20 minutes.
  4. Remove and place into a salt and pepper mix. Drop carefully into a fat fryer foe 1-2 minutes at 160 degrees C. Remove and drain on towel for several minutes.
